As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help implement individualized treatment plans for students with a variety of physical and developmental needs. This position allows you to make a meaningful impact while working collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, families, and other therapy disciplines.

What You’ll Do
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with established treatment plans and IEP goals as well as their treatment plans in the outpatient setting.
- Help students improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, endurance, posture, and participation within the school and community environment
- Assist with gait training, transfers, stair navigation, adaptive equipment use, and gross motor skill development
- Support student access to classrooms, playgrounds, PE, cafeterias, buses, and other school environments
- Collaborate closely with Physical Therapists, teachers, aides, nurses, and parents to support student success
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to supervising therapists
- Assist with positioning, mobility equipment, orthotics, and other adaptive supports
