    Job Summary

    We are a private neurology practice seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team! As a Physician Assistant, you will be examining patients, collecting patient medical history, and making tentative diagnoses on minor and major issues. You will also be reading diagnostic tests and reports, interpreting data, taking the time with each patient to explain their test results and medical diagnoses, and prescribing therapy or medication with a physician's approval. The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, experience charting in a medical environment, and has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Responsibilities

    Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations to evaluate neurological conditions.

    Diagnostic Tests: Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as MRIs, CT scans, and EEGs to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.

    Treatment Plans: Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with neurological disorders, including medication management and therapeutic interventions.

    Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and ongoing management strategies.

    Collaboration: Work closely with neurologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.

    Procedural Assistance: Assist in procedures and provide support to physician

    Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care and treatment plans.

    Qualifications

    National certification through the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE) and state licensure are mandatory.

    A master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required, along with completion of clinical rotations in neurology.

    Prior experience in neurology or a related field is often preferred, though new graduates may also be considered
