About the Role We are a busy orthopedic practice in Jacksonville, FL looking for an experienced, well-rounded Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. This is a high-volume role that requires a provider who can confidently manage a heavy clinic load while also supporting our surgeon with hospital rounds. If you thrive in a fast-paced orthopedic environment and take pride in delivering excellent patient care, we want to hear from you.

What We're Looking For — Experience Matters This is not an entry-level position. We are specifically seeking a provider with at least one (1) year of hands-on experience working alongside an orthopedic surgeon or in an orthopedic office. We need someone who already understands the rhythm of orthopedic care and can hit the ground running on day one.

    The ideal candidate is:

Well-rounded and clinically strong — comfortable handling a wide range of orthopedic cases

Able to take on a heavy patient load in clinic without compromising quality of care

Willing and ready to assist with hospital rounds for our patients

A strong communicator who works hand-in-hand with the physician and clinical staff

Patient, personable, and known for outstanding bedside manner

Brings a strong work ethic and a strong personality — energy, confidence, and professionalism that elevate the office

Adaptable, team-oriented, and able to fit seamlessly into our office culture

    Responsibilities

Manage a high volume of orthopedic patients in the clinic setting

Assist the surgeon with hospital rounds and inpatient care

Conduct patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide follow-up care

Perform in-office orthopedic procedures as appropriate

Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and team members

    Maintain accurate, timely documentation

    Qualifications & Certification Requirements

    For Physician Assistants (PA):

Active Physician Assistant license in the State of Florida (or eligible to obtain)

    Current NCCPA certification (PA-C)

Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program

    Current DEA registration

BLS certification required (ACLS a plus)

    For Nurse Practitioners (NP):

Active APRN license in the State of Florida (or eligible to obtain)

National board certification through ANCC or AANP (FNP, AGNP, or AGACNP preferred)

Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

    Current DEA registration

BLS certification required (ACLS a plus)

    For Both:

Minimum 1 year of experience working with an orthopedic surgeon or in an orthopedic practice (required)

Strong clinical skills, reliability, and professionalism

Ability to handle a high-volume clinic and assist with hospital rounds
