    LOCATION: 9300 S Wilmot Road, Tucson, AZ 85756

    SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • US Citizen
    • Must hold a current, unrestricted license
    • Must be eligible for board certification in their chosen field of expertise that permits him/her to practice and to perform services in any state.
    • Preference will be given to candidates who possesses a current and valid medical license to practice medicine in the state of Arizona.
    • Must have obtained a graduate degree from an American medical Association approved University, with a degree in Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Responsible for receiving patients and explaining procedures to alleviate undue anxiety, submitting reports and evaluations as requested.
    • Responsible for following directives and comply with Bureau of Prisons Health Services Manual, local institutional mandates, and the Health Services Department’s policies in the management of all patient encounters.
    • Providing professional health care services the AIC.
    • Performing complete physical examinations.
    • Collecting comprehensive medical and social history to include a review of all body systems.
    • Performing physical assessment in correlation with historical findings, records preliminary objective findings.
    • Examining and orders appropriate diagnostic testing and provides necessary treatment and/or medications as required.
    • Referring selected cases to consultant specialists when necessary.
    • Referring AIC requiring hospitalization to a community hospital and to an appropriate physician.
    • Administering or directing administration of both curative and preventive inoculations.
    • Prescribing medications, treatments, and fully utilizes health services for treatment, rehabilitation, and diagnostic modalities.
    • Managing the daily operation of the clinic and conducting daily sick calls, which may include securing health histories from the patient, recording findings and providing clinical evaluations.
    • Making recommendations (only) on matters of policy, procedures, training, personnel, and equipment.
    • Performing medical intake, as needed.
    • Completing Medical Exit Summaries, as needed.
