Job Description
Our client, a Global Media and Entertainment Company is seeking a DevOps Engineer in their Universal City location.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Managing infrastructure either datacenter/hybrid cloud/public cloud (5+ years experience)
- Strong Knowledge of Bamboo/Jenkins or similar build/deploy tools (5+ years)
- Hands on experience and knowledge of AWS services (Minimum 5 years)
- Knowledge of Chef OpsWorks (hands on experience big plus)
- Mid-to-Expert level knowledge of Linux operating system, specifically RedHat or CentOS
- Experience with setup and configuration of Git repositories and administration a plus
- Application development background is a plus but not required
- Practical Experience with monitoring tools; Nagios/Nagios XI monitoring is heavily preferred
- Mid-to-Expert level knowledge of Bash Scripting
- Senior level experience with CI/CD pipelines – experience implementing or rolling out CI/CD automation a plus
- Understanding of DNS, Routing, VPNs and Proxy Servers (OpenVPN)
- Have good understand of Infrastructure security and good security practices
- Be very familiar with containers, e.g. Docker, ECS
- Be familiar with Content Delivery Networks - CDNs (e.g. Akamai)
- Will be required to be part of on-call support which include responding to alerts and taking action on production level issues (events averaging < 1/month) However escalation workflows exist for team assistance as well

- Ability to work/communicate effectively with different audiences e.g. internal development teams, technology vendors, project managers and department management
- Be Proactive communication – propose solutions as well as execution plans, capture/display results
- Take active ownership of tasks that will help increase team velocity while being aligned with the DevOps Lead’s direction/focus
