Worshipers' House of Prayer Academy is seeking a passionate and versatile Piano/Band Teacher to inspire students through dynamic music instruction. The ideal candidate is a skilled musician and engaging educator who values excellence, creativity, and spiritual formation through the arts.
Teach individual and small group piano lessons, introducing students to proper technique, theory, sight-reading, and interpretation.
Lead elementary and middle school band ensembles, including beginner through intermediate performers.
Select appropriate repertoire and prepare students for performances, recitals, and school events.
Develop lesson plans that foster music appreciation, creativity, collaboration, and discipline.
Assess and track student progress, adapting instruction for varying ages and skill levels.
Maintain a classroom culture that reflects high expectations, joy in learning, and biblical character development.
Collaborate with the Fine Arts and School Leadership team to grow the music program.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student development and opportunities for practice and growth.
Uphold and model Christian values and integrate faith where appropriate within the music curriculum.
Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Piano Performance, Music Theory, or related field
Demonstrated proficiency in piano and at least one band instrument group (woodwinds, brass, or percussion).
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience with children/adolescents (school or private studio setting).
Strong classroom management and rehearsal leadership skills.
Ability to teach students of diverse backgrounds and varying experience levels.
