About Bach to Rock Herndon

Position Overview We are hiring a Piano and Keys Instructor to teach private lessons in traditional piano fundamentals as well as contemporary styles when appropriate. This is an excellent role for an instructor comfortable teaching reading based instruction and popular repertoire.

Responsibilities

Teach private lessons on piano and keyboard.

Develop student fundamentals including technique, reading, rhythm, chord vocabulary, and repertoire.

Use structured practice systems including slow practice, counting, and measurable goals.

Prepare students for recitals and performances.

Communicate clearly with families about expectations and progress.

Requirements

Strong piano proficiency.

Teaching or youth leadership experience preferred.

Professional, reliable, and consistent availability.

Reliable transportation.

Tiered hourly pay: $17–$22/hr (Tier 1–3)
