RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Support Program Teachers by:

• Developing a careful and creative atmosphere suitable for preschool children
• Be able to use a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional conflicts
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities
• Assist with nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Collaborate with other educators
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

All PIAZZA applicants must be 18 years old or older and show evidence of:

• Driver License/Identification Card (Current)

• Current immunizations (TB, Pertussis, MMR, Flu)

• Physician signed health screening report (within last year)

• Live Scan clearance number or have Live Scan completed with our assistance

• Transcripts showing early childhood education or child development coursework

• Completed Mandated Reporter online training required by Licensing

TEACHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• 12 Units in Early Childhood Education.

TEACHER ASSISTANT OR MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Assistant: a minimum of 6 Units in Early Childhood Education.
