The Pick-Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the order fulfillment team at McDaniel Supply Company's Jesup, Georgia, location. This role requires a dynamic leader who can motivate teams to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped in accordance with daily fulfillment guidelines. The ideal candidate must be a team player with strong leadership skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment while adapting to changing business needs. This position demands someone who can develop and maintain an efficient, motivated warehouse workforce while driving continuous productivity improvements through process enhancements and individual coaching. Responsibilities: • Supervise daily operations of the order fulfillment team and ensure compliance with fulfillment guidelines • Develop and maintain an efficient and motivated warehouse workforce • Organize daily workload throughout the department to maximize efficiency and meet company goals • Ensure the department's shipping system is updated with the current software • Monitor individual and team productivity and drive continuous improvement through process enhancements • Provide one-on-one coaching to team members to enhance performance • Train new hires and existing employees on processes and procedures as needed • Record and monitor staff attendance, approve PTO requests, and conduct annual Career Development Plan • Generate department productivity and efficiency reports • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in accordance with department standards • Open or close warehouse facilities at the beginning and end of shifts or outside normal hours as required • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures • Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required • Customer-focused mindset with flexibility and innovative thinking • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak in front of groups, solve problems, and communicate effectively in English • Knowledge of safety program compliance requirements • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude • The capability to provide exemplary customer service • Strong independent work ethic with the ability to complete assignments within given parameters • Ability to safely perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standards • The capability to maintain regular, punctual attendance • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs • Ability to stand, bend, and walk throughout the workday • Clear telephone communication skills for talking, listening, and speaking
