Job Summary
Under the direction of store management, the Shift Lead is responsible for the successful execution of the Pie Five experience through serving the guest in a team member capacity, while also assuming a supervisory role of directing team members and leading the operation in the absence of store management.
Essential Job Functions
Able to perform the essential job functions of the team member position
Direct team members and delegate responsibilities
Perform register closeouts and prepare bank deposits
Address and resolve guest concerns in the absence of management
Open and/or close store, including the execution of related responsibilities
Perform other related duties, as assigned by company management
Basic Qualifications (Required)
One year of restaurant or customer service experience
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
Must be able to direct others and delegate responsibilities
Must be able to calmly and professionally address and resolve guest concerns
Must be able to effectively communicate with guests and other employees
Must be able to listen attentively to guests, supervisors, and employees
Must be able to actively engage the guest throughout their experience
Must be organized, flexible, detail-oriented, and work with a sense of urgency
Must be able to comprehend and execute local food-handling laws and standards
Must be able to comprehend and execute Pie Five standards and expectations
Must be able to act in a professional manner that promotes a pleasant work environment
Must be able to cross-train in all positions, and successfully pass a shift lead skill test
Must be able to focus and perform with a high level of energy throughout the shift
Must be able to consistently maintain a friendly and outgoing demeanor throughout shift
Must have basic math skills and have the ability to handle money efficiently and accurately, with or without a calculator or POS system
Other Criteria (Preferred)
Prior supervisory experience
High school degree, or equivalent
Physical & Mental Requirements
Must be able to stand for periods of up to 7 hours
Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel repeatedly over a long period of time
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
