    Our client, a Tech/Engineering Firm, headquartered in Central PA, has a great opportunity for an experienced and organized Controller/CFO. The ideal candidate will have an accounting and business background with a desire to grow and evolve in their career with a growing company. This position reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for providing financial analysis, developing and maintaining a documented system of accounting processes, and preparing accurate and timely financial reports.

     

    Key responsibilities also include:

     

    • Compile, benchmark and analyze financial information for financial statement preparation
    • Prepare regular financial management reports for internal use
    • Support executive team by providing department reporting
    • Ensure accurate and timely month-end close process
    • Monitor and maintain internal accounting control procedures
    • Support the annual budgeting process
    • Work directly with banks and insurance companies
    • Lead projection and growth planning initiatives
    • Promote company initiatives and strategies
    • Manage AR invoicing process
    • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted procedures and practices
    • Manage the accounting department team
    • Provide leadership support to the executive team

    Required Skills

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
    • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in an accounting role
    • Prior accounting experience in the construction industry (i.e. job accounting)
    • Strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and business mindset
    • Proficient experience using Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Experience utilizing QuickBooks
    • Supervisory/Management experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to plan, organize and be flexible as deadlines and priorities change
    • Ability and desire to work well with management and other team members

     

     

    Salary will be commensurate with experience with the potential for bonus opportunities based on performance. Company paid benefits package included. EEO
