New Hiring! Pikake School is a bilingual Montessori preschool in Bellevue, WA. We are now expanding and seeking a lead Montessori teacher for our Early Bilingual Classroom (2.5-3 years old classroom). It is a English & Japanese bilingual classroom.

Montessori Lead Teacher Position

8:15 am-4:15pm (Monday through Friday)

Job Responsibilities:

• Planning monthly lesson plans, providing one on one lessons and guiding students 2.5-3.5 years old

-Being creative and run circle time with lessons and music time

-Observing and tracking student learning using school technology

-Guiding children towards autonomy, curiosity and respect

• Supervising lunch and playground activities; keeping children safe, engaged and having fun

• Collaborating with families to align with the Montessori Method and understand their family values

• Contributing ideas in meetings; working with lead teacher team and school director

• Participating in community outreach activities

Essential Skills and Requirements:

-Montessori certified with (AMS, AMI, or MACTE) Early Childhood (Ages 2.5 – 6)

-Experience working with young children in a Montessori classroom

-Good communication skills with children, families and school members in English.

-Caring team member (We have a caring, dedicating team!)

-Experience working with ESL children and speaking Japanese or understanding Japanese culture are a plus

-Complies with all state education and licensing standards, and maintains validation of credentials for the position (i.e. CPR training, Professional development etc).

-Fluent in speaking and writing in English

-Must be 18 years of age older

-Authorized work in the U.S.
