BODYBAR Pilates is a fast-growing boutique fitness franchise delivering dynamic Pilates workouts through our signature BODYBAR method—now in studios across the U.S. We’re on a mission to set the industry standard in how Pilates is taught and experienced, with a focus on strength, form, and most of all—CHEER. Who We’re Looking For
The BODYBAR Pilates Lead Instructor is an ambassador of the BODYBAR member experience and method. As a member of the BODYBAR leadership team working alongside the Studio Manager, the Lead Instructor is an integral part of studio success. This individual is the studio programming expert, ensures brand adherence, supports instructor recruitment, builds community, and instructs daily classes. The role requires someone that is a fitness professional with leadership experience. Group instruction experience is required, pilates experience is a plus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Teach approx 10 BODYBAR Pilates classes per week
Provide excellent customer service and member experience
Maintain and foster the BODYBAR Brand and fitness product (mentoring instructors, class audits and quality checks, corporate meetings, team communication of brand/program changes and updates)
Supporting new instructor test-out process with support from Fitness Ops Team (scheduling practice times/test outs, attending trainee test-outs, reviewing routines, etc.)
Manage and develop class schedule and subs based on client needs
Track and grow studio performance using KPIs (member retention, class utilization)
Support Studio Manager with instructor scheduling for events
Coordinate theme classes, workshops and other fitness events
Equipment management; preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, ordering replacement parts as needed, etc. with the support of the Fitness Ops team
Support and contribute to instructor recruitment process
Education & Qualifications
Must have at least one of the following credentials:
Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science or related field
Certified personal trainer/group fitness instructor
Pilates certification
BODYBAR Instructor Certification
Minimum 1 year in the fitness industry experience
Minimum 1 year management experience in fitness or related field
Proficient with Google Suites including Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, Calendar, Gmail
Proficient in the learning and use of new technologies (Mariana Tek experience a plus )
Detailed oriented and organized
Strong oral & written communication skills
