We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team and take a leading role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex industrial and commercial electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and expertise in designing industrial electrical systems, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical design for the facility's capital projects, ensuring they meet safety, reliability, and efficiency standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the plant's Instrumentation and Electrical (I/E) maintenance group, helping to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.
- Perform breaker coordination and fault tolerance analysis to ensure system reliability.
- Conduct short circuit analysis to identify potential electrical hazards and implement protective measures.
- Perform arc flash calculations and develop safety procedures to mitigate the risks associated with electrical arcs.
- Determine motor specifications and appropriately size electrical starters for various applications.
- Design and implement modifications to lighting systems to enhance energy efficiency and productivity.
Education and Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of and significant experience in designing industrial electrical systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8-10+ years of experience in the field of industrial power and electrical system design.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Project), AutoCAD, EasyPower, or related software is preferred.
