Pillar4 Media is seeking a Performance Writer to join its fast-growing fitness team on garagegymreviews.com.

As a member of the Performance Editorial team at Pillar4 Media, you'll have the opportunity to get real-world, hands-on experience at one of the fastest-growing digital media companies in the U.S. In addition to learning new skills and working directly with subject matter experts in SEO, editorial, creative, paid media, customer experience, and analytics, you'll get to work on meaningful projects that make a difference to the company's bottom line and for consumers seeking to improve their health and wellness.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Performance Editor, the Performance Writer will:

• Implement content updates on Commercial content
• Collaborate closely with the Performance Editor and Editorial team on content publishing workflows, approvals, and performance.
• Work in Sprint cycles, using a Notion board and Google Docs to track priorities and progress on content updates.
• Juggle varying priorities and projects that are critical to the company's bottom line.

What You Bring

• Professional experience writing content, including working with a style guide. Experience as a freelancer, on a school newspaper or in an internship is OK. Bonus for working with product reviews.
• A passion and understanding of home gym equipment, fitness, and nutritional supplements is strongly preferred.
• An understanding of and respect for SEO principles is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with a CMS, particularly WordPress, is preferred.
• A self-starter attitude and the courage to take on new initiatives.
• Curiosity is critical. Wanting to write is not enough. You'll need to be passionately curious about our subject matter and business, what makes us succeed, and how we plan to get there through our content. That curiosity and knowledge will serve you well in your career, whether as a project manager or a writer/editor. We promise.
• You must have the ability to juggle changing responsibilities throughout the month and even week, and ideally have project management experience (executive volunteering or leading school project teams would be acceptable).
• You need to have experience taking direction graciously, as well as working independently. Experience working remotely is helpful.
• You need significant attention to detail, as you will be touching pages that are critical to the business and QAing to make sure your work is to spec.
