    POSITION SUMMARY

     

    The purpose of this job is to assist in classifying, examining, and analyzing accounting records; assist in preparation of related financial reports and statements for management; and handle introductory, less complex aspects of accounting role.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1.  Assist in performing general accounting activities including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules

    2.  Assist in preparing, recording, analyzing, and reporting accounting transactions to ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles

    3.  Provide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget

    4.  Conduct or assist in the documentation of accounting projects

    5.  Perform special projects as assigned

    6.  Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

    7.  Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

    8.  Complete other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1.  High school diploma or equivalent certificate required

    2.  Minimum two years’ completion of bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related required

     

    SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

    1.  Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

    2.  Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) preferred

    3. Strong teamwork, problem solving, conflict management, influencing, and negotiation skills
