POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to support the merchandising team’s efforts through projects with oversight and direct from category managers and other merchandising management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Coordinate merchandising projects to include gathering, analysis and distribution of market and competitive intelligence; ensure deliverables are met
2. Gather information on trends and activities in order to propose marketing strategies
3. Assist management with market research projects from the design to implementation to final presentation
4. Review research data and summarize key findings and insights; provide summary to management
5. Create reports and presentations leveraging strong data visualization and story-telling skills
6. Maintain research tools; learn to utilize existing and new research tools and assist other team members on use of tools
7. Collect and analyze data to evaluate existing and potential product and service markets
8. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
9. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
10. Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent certificate required
2. Pursuing bachelor’s degree required; preferably in business, marketing, analytics, social science or related field
