    POSITION SUMMARY

    The purpose of this job is, under guidance, to assist in the design of facilities and implement new concepts and initiatives for the development and enhancement of company travel centers.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Participate in the creation and design for new projects, remodels, and acquisitions

    2. Participate in the creation of conceptual design drawings / models / renderings / studies and presentations

    3. Create construction/design documents for development and enhancement of Pilot Flying J travel centers

    4. Review construction documents (CDs) to ensure compliance with standards, mechanical, building systems, codes and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements

    5. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

    6. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

    7. Complete other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. High school diploma or equivalent certificate required

    2. Pursuing Bachelor of Architecture degree required

    3. Minimum 1 year in corporate design projects preferred

     

    SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

    1. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

    2. Proficiency with AutoCAD based drafting skills preferred

    3. Knowledge of design principles and standards preferred

    4. Knowledge of Construction Documents and procedures preferred

    5. Knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements preferred

    6. Knowledge of space requirements preferred

    7. Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills preferred
