    Job Description

    The purpose of this job is to provide middle office support functions to ensure trading and other Supply and Distribution (S&D) activities are compliant with company policies and state and federal laws.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

    1. Supervise, provide daily oversight, and set priorities of the Daily Profit and Loss(P&L)/Position team; select, coach, train, and develop direct reports, to include appraising job performance and conducting performance reviews
    2. Review, analyze, interpret and provide daily exposure reporting; identify and resolve related issues
    3. Ensure accurate and timely data entry of deal and cost provisions into the Energy Trade Risk Management (ETRM) system, review necessary adjustments and assist team in working with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to resolve issues
    4. Articulate factors driving day-to-day P&L changes to Commercial and upper management Team Members
    5. Enter and track daily adjustments for identified issues in the ETRM system and associated key performance indicators
    6. Serve as subject matter expert in the Daily P&L/Position reporting matters; research projects on daily activity and results; answer and resolve internal and external P&L/position questions.
    7. Review monthly accounting reports from management for completeness and accuracy
    8. Prepare accurate margin using mark to market accounting for monthly financials
    9. Prepare and review monthly journal entries in Infor- Lawson general ledger
    10. Monthly review of G/L reconciliations for completeness and accuracy and ensure aged reconciliations are researched and resolved in a timely manner
    11. Analyze G/L results using a basis methodology and sound judgment in alignment with management expectations
    12. Provide ad hoc reporting as requested
    13. Provides support and management requests from both External and Internal Auditors
    14. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
    15. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
    16. Complete other duties as assigned

    Pay Range: 92700.00 - 122800.00

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field required
    • Minimum five years’ energy trading experience required
    • Minimum three years’ experience leading a mid-office or accounting team

    SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE 

    • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required; advanced skills preferred
    • Minimum two years’ experience with ETRM or RightAngle required
    • Understanding of front, middle, and back office business and operational risks impacting an energy marketing function required
    • Experience with process improvements and analytics preferred
