    Job Description

    The purpose of this job is to classify, examine, and analyze accounting records, prepare related financial reports and statements for management, and handle-less complex aspects of accounting role.

    In this role you will:

    • Perform general accounting activities including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules
    • Pay vendor invoices; receive and post customer payments on a timely basis
    • Prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles
    • Provide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget
    • Analyze and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements, and reports
    • Conduct or assist in the documentation of accounting projects
    • Perform special projects as assigned
    • Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
    • Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
    • Complete other duties as assigned

    Additional Duties May Include:

    • Maintain, collect, and reconcile accounts payable or receivable ledger accounts, financial statements, and reports
    • Prepare analyses and reconciliations to detect fraud
    • Respond to department-related inquiries via e-mail and phone call
    • Complete audit schedules to support internal and external requests
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent certification required
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred
    • Minimum two years’ experience in accounting or related area required
    • General Ledger experience preferred

    • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Strong teamwork, problem-solving, conflict management, influencing, and negotiation skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate financial principles and practices with non-finance team members
    • Ability to meet deadlines, work extended hours when necessary, and perform work with a high sense of urgency
