Job Description

Pilot Lumber is seeking a full time Manager for our Alexandria Lumber And Hardware store! You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the lumber yard and contractor sales within the store. You will work with contractors and homeowners to understand their needs and optimize the Alexandria yard. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented, passionate about construction, and have previous hardware store or construction experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise team of yard and retail associates
• Manage schedules
• Quote and sell lumber and hardware packages
• Understand local construction market
• Resolve escalated customer complaints

​QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hardware store or construction experience preferred
• Basic computer knowledge, to be trained in our software
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
