    Our busy Pool Retail Store is looking for an energetic sales assistant with great customer service skills. You should be enthusiastic about helping our customers solve their pool problems and flourish in a setting that encourages you to achieve personal and team objectives. Our ideal applicant has demonstrated excellence in sales/customer service. The position calls for a 40 to 50 hr workweek and weekend shifts are required. Responsibilities: This position reports directly to the manager/assistant manager, depending on scheduling. This position is responsible for keeping the store clean, performing water testing, filling pool additive jugs, and helping with customer needs. To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: • Willingness to learn and continually improve • Perform water balance testing, as needed, for customers • Answer phones • Help customers with purchases, carrying purchases to the car • Ensure the store is clean at all times; straighten shelves, dust shelves, keep furniture displays and counter area clean • Vacuum carpeted areas daily/Mop floors daily • Breakdown cardboard boxes • Dump trash • Stock acid • Fill jugs/carry them to the customer's car • Clean windows daily • Report supply shortage • May perform minor repairs • Remove all price stickers from returned items • Any other duties, as assigned Qualifications: • You must have previous customer service experience for this position • At least 1 year of sales experience or work in a similar role is preferred • Good organization and time management skills • Must have graduated high school, received a GED or equivalent • HS Diploma preferred • Previous retail and/or pool supply experience preferred • Previous Pinch a Penny Experience Preferred as well • Willingness to continually learn and improve. Training available • Excellent customer service skills required The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. • Must be able to lift 50 pounds • The position requires constant walking, bending and lifting • Ability to answer phones and perform functions on a computer necessary when interacting with customers and or the corporate office The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet Compensation: $15 - $17+ hourly
