    Job Description

     

    PURPOSE

    The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for leading Pine Environmental’s revenue growth and profitability of their assigned territory. The position will build and implement sales plans to improve Pine’s competitive position, penetrate targeted customer accounts, and expand the company’s product and service offering. The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for working cross-functionally to service all customers in their assigned territory, meet local budget objectives, and support all company initiatives and policies.

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Generate sales/rentals of equipment and accessories consistent with budget levels for the designated sales territory
    • Travel to existing and potential customers within a designated sales territory to further equipment rentals and sales.
    • Carry out sales administration tasks required to support sales activities and document changing customer profiles
    • Maintain records of customer contacts using a CRM software package, ensuring that key contact information is updated, appointment purposes and results are logged and forecast information is accurate
    • Provide management with accurate forecasts of potential sales on an on-going basis
    • Maintain a dialog with existing customers to provide technical support, product information, and updated pricing

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, CORE COMPETENCIES

     

    • Meet quarterly and annual business growth objectives for assigned territory.
    • Build, implement, and monitor local and regional market development initiatives.
    • Create and maintain sales plans to penetrate new and existing customers.
    • Support the local and regional development of Pine’s National Account customers.
    • Identify new local and regional customer relationships to capture incremental revenue.
    • Expand Pine’s business with customers into additional company products and services.
    • Develop and manage a pipeline of monthly and quarterly revenue growth opportunities.
    • Establish a weekly schedule of daily customer meetings and document progress weekly.
    • Provide timely, accurate, and complete service to customers within the assigned territory.
    • Coordinate with Marketing to develop and implement promotional programs for territory.
    • Attend targeted local and regional industry association conferences and tradeshow events.
    • Participate in and contribute to company meetings, conference calls, and other activities.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCe

    • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience preferred
