    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible to service and maintain the highest level of facility cleanliness throughout the Club and perform light maintenance applications as needed. Creates an aesthetically desirable and safe club environment to exceed Member and Guest expectations.

    GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

    Knowledge Requirements

    Minimum Education/Certification:

    High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.

    Required Knowledge:

    General knowledge of housekeeping techniques; including, but not limited to, knowledge of maintaining, cleaning, and preserving a wide variety of surfaces. Ability to follow instruction regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.

    Preferred Knowledge:

    Private country club maintenance knowledge is preferred.

    Experience Requirements

    Required Experience:

    Two (2) years housekeeping experience with strong customer service background.

    Preferred Experience:

    Previous Club/Resort housekeeping experience a plus.

    Skills Requirements

    Required Skills:

    Must have the ability to work independently and without direct supervision once the assignment is understood. Must have strength and stamina to manage cleaning equipment and tools during working hours. Must be able to fluently speak and read English to interact with club members and coworkers and read instructions on supplies. Must possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license.

    Preferred Skills:

    Dedicated to providing quality customer service.

    Physical Demands/Work Environment Requirements

    Vision, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Should be in good health and have the ability to stand, bend and kneel. Ability to operate and climb ladder as needed. Must have the ability to work with water and other chemicals related to cleaning and sanitation. May be required to exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally or lift heavy objects. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled, in order to meet the customer service goals of Pine Island Country Club.

    Mental Demands

    The ability to perform strenuous physical work sometimes under the pressure of deadlines. Must be flexible to work in an ever-changing environment. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and be able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service. Must have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and BASIC DUTIES

    Maintains a clean aesthetically desirable and safe Club environment which meets the expectations of the General Manager, Department Managers, and Club Members and Guests.

    Provides daily cleaning for all aspects of the Club operations including but not limited to: offices, restroom facilities, locker rooms, public places and other areas.

    Performs light and heavy cleaning including but not limited to: window cleaning, dusting, polishing, maintaining woodwork, mopping, vacuuming, emptying of trash cans and ashtrays, and other vital housekeeping functions.

    Refills amenities and disposables in restrooms and locker rooms.

    Gathers, washes, dries, and folds locker room towels as needed.

    Maintains par levels for all supplies, linens, equipment, amenity dispensers and products related to housekeeping services and laundry department and notifies Office Manager of purchasing needs.

    Keeps equipment, closets, and dispensers clean and organized.

    Provides exceptional service to all members at all times through customer-centric behavior.

    Spot cleans locker rooms and restrooms frequently throughout each day in compliance with OSHA standards and Club protocol.

    Assists with special events, projects, and programs as needed.

    Resolves member issues using effective customer service skills.

    Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

    Works scheduled hours which may include daytime, evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    Assists in any other housekeeping or maintenance deemed necessary by the General Manager or Office Manager.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    Understands and upholds the Griffin Brothers Companies mission statement. Complies with the “Employee Policy Handbook and Company Procedures”.

    Adheres specifically to all corporate policies and procedures and applicable laws. Maintains highest level of grooming, hygiene, and acceptable uniform appearance (including name tag worn at all times on Company premises).

    Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
