POSITION SUMMARY
This position is designed to assist Pine Island Country Club management in the daily outside golf operations in order to maximize the enjoyment of all club members and guests and to enable golfers to enjoy the best golf experience possible.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Requirements
Minimum Education/Certification:
High School graduate/equivalent preferred or currently enrolled in High School with a valid driver’s license
Required Knowledge:
Must have knowledge and prior experience in the customer service industry
Preferred Knowledge:
Knowledge of the game of golf and golf course operations
Experience Requirements
Required Experience:
Couple of years in customer service position
Preferred Experience:
Experience and/or knowledge of golf and golf operations.
Skills Requirements
Required Skills:
Must be able to listen to and comprehend instructions Must be an independent worker and able to work with minimum supervision once the tasks are communicated and explained. Strong customer service skills.
Preferred Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Physical Demands/Work Environment Requirements
Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of legs, wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to work outside, sometimes in adverse weather conditions, such as heat, cold, or rain. May be required to lift up to 100 pounds on occasion and up to 40 pounds frequently. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position as scheduled. May be required to stand or walk for long periods of time. May be required to kneel and bend. Must be able to withstand a range of outside weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
Mental Demands
Learning, thinking, concentration and the ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy times throughout the year but particularly during the golf season, tournaments, or outings. Must be able to multi-task in the event of an immediate need away from the current task. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and be able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service to all customers. Must have the ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and BASIC DUTIES
Greets and welcomes all players and club guests as they arrive to the club.
Stage carts in proper staging area while staying prepared to service members/guests as they arrive
Remove golf bags from vehicles or storage room and load them onto carts
Properly set practice facility and shot game areas in accordance to club guidelines
Pick and maintain driving range throughout the day
Wash range balls and restock range as needed
Wash cart towels and locker room towels on a daily basis
Return bags from carts and return to either member’s/guest’s vehicle or bag storage area
Return carts to storage area removing and replacing towels, pencils, score cards, tees, trash, etc.
Refilling/replacing sand bottles on carts
Wash, detail, properly park and charge carts

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Adheres specifically to all corporate policies and procedures and applicable laws. Maintains highest level of grooming, hygiene, and acceptable uniform appearance (including name tag worn at all times on Company premises).
Performs other functions in the kitchen area as needed.
Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
