    We are recruiting for a Creative Director to lead the talented creative team in our Irvine, California facility.  The creative director plays in integral role in overseeing the scope of projects through client meetings, collaborating with account teams and designers to develop winning strategies, and manage the quality of work executed by the design department. They lead the creative team and inspire them to reach for big ideas and generate innovative solutions. They work with account teams to initiate projects, frame up design briefs, and set expectations for deliverables.

    Some nuts and bolts about the job responsibilities:

    ·         Manage the creative process from concept to completion.

    ·         Synthesize marketing objectives and campaigns into creative strategies.

    ·         Optimize performance of studio staff, resources and freelance network in pursuit of company goals.

    ·         Manage studio team and client expectations for scope and deadlines.

    ·         Oversee total creative process: drive conceptualization, set creative approach and strategy for success. Confirm deliverables and assign tasks to individual designers.

    ·         Train new designers and coach growth of existing designers. Facilitate project sharing, brainstorming, peer reviews and inter-studio collaboration.

    ·         Assure collaborative work is differentiated for maximum effectiveness.

    ·         Foster a design-centric culture in the studio and plan informative design focused team building outings.

    ·         Partner with General Manager to prioritize project opportunities and set deadlines.

    ·         Collaborate with other Pinnacle designers on projects and workload sharing.

    ·         Keep current of trends in exhibit design and materials.

    ·         Maintain all relevant files, materials records.

    We are an energetic and creative bunch and have high expectations for all our employees. In addition to being fun to work with, we would like to hire someone with the following experience, skills, and attributes:

    ·         A varied back ground that includes 7 years of experience designing for exhibits, events, set/scenery, environments, or retail.

    ·         Leadership and management experience to include at least 3 years of experience managing designers, client expectations and the creative process in a group setting.

    ·         Ability to motivate and inspire!

    ·         Mature, calm communicator capable of creating an action plan, putting it into motion and managing a variety of personalities in a dynamic environment.

    ·         Working knowledge of construction and material usage.

    ·         Background and understanding of marketing and advertising.

    ·         Proficient in 3ds Max and Adobe Creative Suite, conceptual sketching.

    ·         Ability to travel.

    ·         Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Environmental Design, Advertising, Marketing, or Fine Arts.
