In the role of Corporate Controller, you will play a vital part in the executive management team, spearheading the execution of our accounting functions and providing operational and financial support to both the farming and processing operations. This role holds significant importance in guiding strategic decision-making through the implementation of robust financial controls and analyses. The position involves active reporting to the Board of Directors, where you will present the current state of financial results, forecasts, and recommendations aimed at enhancing profitability.

What You’ll Do as a Corporate Controller :
Corporate Controllership
Coach and build bookkeeping capabilities for Office Managers.
Develop, implement, and maintain systems for accurate and timely management reporting.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Ensure accurate completion of month-end close processes according to the closing calendar.
Review month-end results, identify variances to plan, and summarize for executive management.
Assist in annual budget preparation, providing financial expertise to track and interpret budget information.
Create business cases to optimize financial performance.
Develop, implement, and update procedures for Business Central accounting practices.
Develop efficient Treasury practices, overseeing daily cash activities, liquidity management, reconciliation, and bank reporting.
Own and execute Grower Payments, implementing internal controls for clean master data and providing liquidity forecasts.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax accountants, and banking relationships.
Plant Controllership
Utilize Business Intelligence tools for automated financial reporting.
Develop cost-reporting processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Analyze sales orders, purchase orders, and work order ERP configurations for accurate reporting.
Analyze Labor and Overhead by product group, aiding in labor tracking.
Collaborate with the Director of Operations to establish plant productivity and planning metrics.
Responsible for budgeting and forecasting costs, working with Operations teams for accurate financial data.
Recommend capital improvement projects for efficiency, risk reduction, or measurable standards with a calculated return on investment.
Coordinate capital expenditure and capacity planning for operations.
Ensure inventory accuracy and KPIs, driving process changes and implementing best practices.
Develop strong cross-functional relationships to achieve department and business objectives through collaboration.
Create financial models for top and bottom-line projections to manage the grower payment cycle.
Expertise You’ll Bring to the Corporate Controller Role:
7-10 years of related work experience, including experience in manufacturing operations
Financial systems ERP experience, preferably Microsoft Business Central
Cost Accounting experience
Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
Superior communication skills
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively
Ability to role model high standards of professionalism
Excellent follow-through
Must possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
