What you’ll do:
- Own revenue recognition cycle, ensuring revenue is recorded accurately and timely.
- Maintain and enforce the Company's revenue recognition policy.
- Conduct research to determine revenue recognition.
- Conduct analysis to support revenue recognition practices.
- Perform and review monthly account analyses and reconciliations
- Manage a team to ensure proper revenue recognition and operations
- Assist with preparation of audit schedules and prepare periodic revenue and deferred revenue reports.
- Optimize and improve the existing process to support growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with sales, legal, business consultants, professional services team, account Directors, and shared services personnel.
- Own sales tax reporting.
- Implement and document processes and procedures as required to support a strong internal control environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 7-10+ years of revenue accounting and related experience, preferably in a software company.
- Advanced Knowledge of applying software revenue accounting guidelines - ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers.
- Experience with GAAP multi-element revenue recognition accounting standards including ASC 606.
- Experienced with enterprise reporting systems.
- NetSuite experience.
- Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, establish appropriate priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage and lead a team.
- Strong Excel skills.
