Staff Accountant

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for completing GL reconciliations and supporting the Finance Team with close accounting procedures.

This role will provide you with extensive opportunities for growth. Our client has recently experienced a high level of growth, so you will be a key member in their accounting team, ensuring accurate and efficient completion of delegated tasks. You will report directly to the Controller who is a seasoned leader and mentor, specifically in relation to accounting.

What you’ll do:

• Complete monthly close procedures.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts on a monthly basis.
• Track and report fixed assets.
• Prepare requested materials for annual audit and information returns.
• Collaborate with Controller and CFO to develop desktop procedures and enhance control environment.
• Reconcile semi-monthly payroll.

What we’re looking for:

• 1 – 3 years of demonstrated accounting close experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and its use in analysis and data transformation.
