Northway Lanes is looking for a qualified mechanic to diagnose issues, repair and provide preventative maintenance to pinsetters, be a lane oil technician (oil lanes with lane machine, understand the oil pattern characteristics and understand how the oil machine works in general), and assist in any building repair needs.

This position will be given approximately one and a half years of side by side training and will be considered full-time. Hours typically run 7am-3pm, however if the schedule asks for earlier arrival or a fix requires a later stay, must be available to accommodate. Full time benefits include 401k matching, PTO, and insurance.

Typical days involve diagnosing and repairing issues from the night before, tweaking and adjusting machines so they run better, and developing new ideas improving the general wear and tear of them, using the oil machine to strip and oil the lanes daily while understanding the different aspects of how the machine itself works to prevent any issues for the bowler. Northway typically does their own building repairs as well including repairing broken welds on chairs, plumbing, or any other minor fixes.

Qualified applicants do not necessarily need bowling center experience, or bowling knowledge but should have knowledge of how belt driven machines work and a background in mechanical ability. Also should understand that there will be one and a half years of side by side work while also being able to work on projects on their own.
