We are seeking a dynamic and innovative UX Designer with a keen understanding of UX principles and experience creating content for social media applications. In this role, you will be a key player in reimagining our website, crafting engaging social media content, and utilizing analytics to drive business decisions and grow revenue. If you are passionate about creating seamless digital experiences and have a knack for captivating social media narratives, we want you on the Pioneer Valley Books team.

    Key Duties

    Website Renovation:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and user needs for website improvements.
    • Identify opportunities for website optimization to increase engagement and drive revenue. Build solutions and make recommendations to the director of marketing and senior leadership.
    • Conduct user research, analyze feedback, and translate insights into intuitive and visually appealing website designs.
    • Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal user experiences across various devices.
    • Work closely with developers to bring design concepts to life, maintaining a focus on usability and accessibility.
    • Analyze and deliver reports on improvements in key performance indicators, such as engagement, website conversion, and overall revenue.
    • Manage routine updates to all platforms across Pioneer Valley Books, Dr. Dufresne’s sites, and the Digital Reader.

    Social Media Execution and Creative Development:

    • Execute social media content, aligned with overall user experience and brand voice.
    • In partnership with graphic designers, create visually compelling multimedia content for social media platforms.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media user experience with broader marketing campaigns.
    • Stay updated on social media trends and leverage emerging platforms to enhance brand visibility
    • Utilize analytics tools to track and measure the performance of website and social media initiatives.
    • Analytics-Based Decision Making:
    • Extract meaningful insights from data to inform UX improvements, content strategy, and social media optimization.
    • Implement A/B testing strategies to refine designs and content based on user engagement metrics.

    **Basic Copywriting Skills:

    • Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to develop compelling and engaging copy for social media posts.
    • Tailor language to resonate with target audiences and enhance user interaction.
    • Craft clear and concise copy for website elements, ensuring alignment with brand voice and messaging and product authenticity.

    Qualifications/Experience

    Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

    • Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
    • Proven 3 to 5 experience in UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing successful website redesign projects.
    • Demonstrable expertise in social media management and content creation.
    • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Sketch.
    • Strong analytical skills and experience with web analytics tools.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
    • Basic copywriting skills with a focus on creating engaging and effective content.
