Commercial Refrigeration Pipefitter

Overview
Seeking a Pipefitter with experience supporting commercial refrigeration systems. This role focuses on installing, fabricating, and maintaining piping systems for large-scale refrigeration equipment across new builds, remodels, and service work.

What You’ll Do

• Install and route refrigeration piping for new construction, retrofits, and equipment replacements
• Fabricate piping using copper, steel, and related materials (brazing, soldering, threading, welding)
• Work alongside technicians and other trades to ensure proper system layout and installation
• Install valves, fittings, supports, and insulation per drawings and job specs
• Assist with pressure testing, evacuation, and system start-up
• Troubleshoot and repair piping issues, including leaks and damaged components
• Inspect systems for wear, vibration, or corrosion
• Support service calls and ongoing maintenance as needed
• Follow safety standards related to refrigerants, hot work, and job site protocols
• Document work completed, materials used, and system updates

What You Bring

• 3+ years of pipefitting experience in commercial or industrial environments
• Strong experience with brazing and refrigeration piping
• Familiarity with large refrigeration systems (condensers, evaporators, rack systems)
• Ability to read blueprints and piping diagrams
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety
• Ability to work independently or on a team
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites

Nice to Have

• Experience in grocery, cold storage, or large commercial environments
• EPA 608 certification
• OSHA 10 or 30
• Welding experience
