We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pipe Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in various environments.
Pipe Fitters or Steamfitters can expect to perform the following duties:
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the layout and requirements of the piping system.
Cut openings for pipes in walls, floors, and ceilings using appropriate power tools and equipment.
Select the correct type and size of pipe based on project specifications and cut, bend, or thread piping materials as needed.
Fabricate piping system sections by welding, brazing, or soldering components to create secure joints and assemblies.
Test piping systems for leaks and functionality using specialized testing tools and equipment.
Clean and maintain pipe systems , including the use of flushing systems to ensure proper operation.
Remove, repair, or replace worn or damaged pipes to maintain system integrity and performance.
Previous experience as a Pipe Fitter, Steamfitter, or similar role
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Proficiency with pipe fitting tools, welding equipment, and testing instruments
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations
Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
