Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Project Manager to lead projects from initial concept through closeout. This role is responsible for planning, budgeting, coordinating, and delivering pipeline projects safely, on time, and within budget, while meeting all regulatory and quality standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and manage small- and large-scale pipeline projects to meet client expectations and profitability goals.
Review bid packages, specifications, and drawings for compliance and accuracy.
Develop takeoffs, cost estimates, labor rates, and proposals.
Conduct process design calculations, prepare equipment and instrument data sheets, and develop process flow and piping diagrams.
Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and final bid proposals.
Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical and logistical challenges.
Define and communicate project roles, responsibilities, and expectations to team members and partners.
Monitor contractual commitments, process change orders, and ensure timely claims management.
Approve major purchase orders, contracts, and subcontracts in alignment with company procedures.
Review and approve invoices and payment applications.
Lead project status meetings with clients and internal teams.
Oversee material procurement and delivery to align with project schedules.
Ensure all work complies with Badlands Contracting’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Policy.
Complete project closeout activities and post-job reviews.
Mentor and train project personnel.
Required Qualifications
5–10 years of pipeline project management experience in oil and gas or related sectors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.
Strong knowledge of pipeline design, construction methods, and applicable regulations.
Proven leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience working with regulatory agencies such as FERC or PHMSA.
Physical Requirements
