    Beck Manufacturing, a division of Anvil International, is accepting Applications for a 1st shift Warehouse/Packer.

     

    LOCATION:  BECK Manufacturing, Greencastle PA

     

    SHIFT:  

    1st, Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm, $11.60 per hour

     

    The Packer is responsible for packing boxes of product according to specified numbers per box; Visually inspect the product to assure that a good quality product is shipped; May use gages and scales to inspect the product; Make labels and assure proper labeling with correct item, quantity, description, etc.; Ensure all boxes have been sealed and that the appropriate label has been applied; Prepare pallets of box product to be sent to shipping.

    • Requires constant standing and walking (up to 10 hours per day)
    • Repetitive use of both hands (up to 10 hours per day)
    • Repetitive reaching at and above shoulder level and bending at the waist
    • Ability to lift boxes and product weighing up to 50 lbs
    • Ability to bend, stoop and twist
    • Ability to utilize a computer
    • Ability to read scales and gages
    • Ability to detect defects in product

    WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

     

    Work performed in a store environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopies and fax machines.  Use of personal cell phone for customer contact and follow up and personal computer tablet for room sketching.

     

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to view, see, manipulate and handle product to demonstrate to customers. The employee continuously walks or stands on the store’s showroom floor.  Stands for extended periods of time.  The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and required to lift and carry small items up to 30 pounds, such as lamps, etc.

     

     

    EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

     

    Flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays and key days required).  Required to work a rotated scheduled in a mattress store as business needs mandate.
