Job Purpose:
The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for building and maintaining our client's data analysis platform.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with customers and technical team to define data requirements for business intelligence applications.
- Develop, maintain and support our client's data analysis platform.
- Develop methods and tools to monitor the performance and reliability of the data analysis platform.
- On-call and triage support.
- Ensure compliance with data and software policies and procedures.
- Maintain documentation related to database objects, source systems, and operations.
- Conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment.
Required Qualifications: Minimal qualifications required in order to be considered for entry into the job
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience working in software engineering, ETL and BI/Reporting
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with DOMO or similar SaaS application
- C# .Net Core development experience, including development tools such as Visual Studio, TFS and GIT source control.
- Experience with enterprise databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL
- Experience with document databases such as Raven
- Knowledge of and experience with Web Services, Messaging patterns and practices.
- Experience with Docker
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate with technical and non-technical members of the organization.
- Experience with AGILE and SCRUM methodologies
- Ability to serve for a call rotation
- Ability to work remotely
- Ability to manage time effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Major DOMO certification
- Experience developing with Python
- Experience in digital manufacturing.
- Experience with ERP system such as Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Experience with CRM system such as Salesforce
- Experience developing with R
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS) and Power BI
