    JOB DESCRIPTION

     

    POSITION SUMMARY: Supervises Finance Department Staff; serves as a back-up to the Director of Finance as needed

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Ø Visual and Auditory comprehension & function for written & verbal communication.

    Ø Manual Dexterity with ability to use computers and other office equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks

    Ø Ability to access various settings, negotiate architectural barriers (i.e. stairs) in office and community settings

    Ø Ability use Public Transportation to commute to work

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Ø Associates Degree in Finance/Accounting or business management

    Ø Ability to prioritize and organize workload and complete tasks independently

    Ø Computer literate with experience with various accounting software

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Ø Demonstrate logical reasoning & critical thinking skills

    Ø Demonstrate a mature, professional, respectful demeanor and style

    Ø Demonstrate initiative and perform as a motivated self starter

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: This list does not represent all responsibilities for this position. Candidate must understand and be willing and able to assume roles and responsibilities other than these to meet the needs of the department and company in general.

    Ø Maintain and post payments to cash disbursement journal

    Ø Post invoices to Sales Journal and Subsidiary Ledgers

    Ø Prepare and calculate bi-weekly payroll for both company

    Ø Review payroll checks and summary reports to ensure they are processed accurately

    Ø Maintain General Ledger and Trial Balance for company

    Ø Prepare CAMFR reports

    Ø Prepare schedules and reports for HRA auditors

    Ø Prepare schedules and reports for internal auditors

    Ø In conjunction with the Director of Finance, responsible for supervision and performance of the Finance department staff

    Ø Prepare year-end, quarterly, and bi-weekly reports as needed

    Ø Provide back-up coverage in the Director of Finance’s absence

    Ø Other duties as assigned
