Senior Accountant

Location: Peoria, IL (Hybrid Schedule) - Must live in or near Peoria, IL. 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within the organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage accounts payable including entering and processing payments.

• Handle accruals and perform accurate bank reconciliations.

• Execute month-end close journal entries efficiently.

• Process carrier bills and manage inventory effectively.

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations with precision.

• Receive and enter customer payments accurately.

• Track and manage purchase orders to ensure compliance.

• Oversee fixed asset management processes.

• Process customer credits in the billing system accurately.

• Handle lease accounting responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting.

• Proficiency in working with accruals, fixed assets, and chart of accounts.

• Extensive experience with Accounts Payable processes.

• Advanced skills in Excel and Outlook.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in tax compliance.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or MS Dynamic.

• Previous experience in the construction industry.

• Previous experience in the telecommunications industry.
