    Job Title: Safety Manager

    Summary: The Safety Manager is responsible for continuously monitoring and adapting safety procedures and operations to ensure a safe and fully compliant work environment for all employees.

    This person will work closely with the Director of Operations, Plant Managers, and HR regarding company-wide EHS compliance and sustainability. Must be able to travel to our manufacturing facilities as needed, up to 30% of the time.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures and schedule routine inspections, communication, and educational information regarding Safety.

    • Drafts inspection reports documenting inspections findings

    • Inspects all facilities to identify safety, health, and environmental risks and ensure deficiencies are mitigated and corrected.

    • Provide employee safety training on workplace safety, company policies, regulations, and emergency procedures, partnering with HR as needed.

    • Maintain accurate and current records per company guidelines and make them readily accessible when needed, including all certifications.

    • Analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury case studies to institute changes that lead to a safer environment.

    • Able to conduct root cause analysis regarding safety incidents and provide solutions to mitigate reoccurrences.

    • Prepares and files OSHA-related logs for compliance.

    • Oversees company-wide Safety Committee Program.

    • Guides the Managers and Supervisors by the site to ensure a common and practical approach to safety compliance.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field is recommended.

    • 3-5 years of EHS experience working in a Manufacturing environment and management background.

    • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

    • In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.

    • Excellent written, and verbal communication skills, organization, and attention to detail.

    • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

    • Multi-site management experience


    Physical Demands:

    • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

    • Must be able to travel to our manufacturing facilities as needed, up to 30% of the time.
