    The Vehicles Packaging and Omnichannel Creative team is a group of passionate and inspired designers with the goal of creating outstanding packaging and creative assets for the best toys on earth! The Packaging Designer will work on a variety of licensed and internal IP and licensed Vehicle brands. The Packaging Designer will research trends, ideate multiple concepts, and follow strategy guidelines from marketing and brand partners. You must be comfortable and proficient in not only presenting in person but in digital, 2D and 3D formats to all cross functional partners and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will possess proven packaging design experience showing ability to work on challenging and fun kid’s products, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience working with overseas partners is also preferred.

    This will be a hybrid role with four days in the El Segundo office.

    What Your Impact Will Be:

    • The primary function of the Package Designer is to create brand statements through innovative package designs and digital assets
    • Design and develop packaging from concept to production
    • Create package concepts & brand statements that are relevant and trend forward
    • Assist other packaging designers with projects and design communication as necessary
    • Work with design manager to further develop designs and execute strategy
    • Effectively communicate product strategy and features through package design/copy
    • Partner with E-comm, Marketing and Brand teams to help create assets for an omnichannel approach to brand engagement
    • Work with copywriters & engineers to create cohesive packaging/brand statements
    • Partner with product design & marketing counterparts to ensure package delivers on strategy
    • Art direct photo shoots (product and/or talent)
    • Art direct in-house & outside resources such as illustrators, photo re-touchers, and Asia counterparts to develop elements of package and E-comm
    • 3D render and/or physically comp packages for presentations (Adobe Dimension preferred)
    • Communicate with Asia counterparts to ensure quality and integrity of package design is maintained through production, and onto shelf.

    Qualifications-What We’re Looking For:

    • 1- 3+ years design experience and a Degree in Design or Arts (and/or) Graphic Design Experience within packaging discipline
    • Passion for design – creative thinker that strives for innovation
    • In-depth knowledge of Photoshop & Illustrator and the entire Adobe Suite
    • Basic 3D software knowledge (Adobe Dimension preferred)
    • Ability to see the big picture while not losing focus of details
    • Team player (ability to work with immediate team members and cross functional partners)
    • Ability to accept and give creative direction
    • Up to date on current trends: graphics, advertising, fashion, technology, entertainment, social, etc.
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with different delivery dates simultaneously, in order to meet tight deadlines
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to articulate design and vision
    • Passion and desire to work on legacy brands that remain relevant as well as licensed brands that break boundaries year after year

    The annual base salary range for this position is between $52,400.00 and $92,000.00.
    **This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
