This position is a hands-on, fast-paced role that will likely have you making friends for life.

    THE PAYROLL AND BENEFITS ADMINISTRATOR is responsible for managing the day to payroll functions for Pizza Luce and all individual locations. This position will work directly with the Bookkeeper in processing payroll as well. This position functions as a team member in the office along with the Office Coordinator, Bookkeeper and reports directly to the Finance Manager. The position works closely with the Human Resources Director, HR Generalist, General Managers and communicates with employees, vendors and guests of Pizza Luce. Qualified candidates will have 5 plus years of payroll and benefits administration experience in a multi location environment with direct experience in the hospitality industry preferred.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Payroll Administrator is responsible for managing the day to payroll functions for Pizza Luce and all individual locations. This position will work directly with the Bookkeeper in processing payroll as well. This position functions as a team member in the office along with the Office Coordinator, Bookkeeper and reports directly to the Finance Manager. The position works closely with the Human Resources Director, HR Generalist, General Managers and communicates with employees, vendors and guests of Pizza Luce.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Payroll
    • Collect and organize payroll data
    • Post payroll additions and changes
    • Daily tip reconciliation and payments
    • Ensure accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll
    • Create manual checks as needed
    • Post completed payroll entries to the General Ledger
    • Audit complete payroll entries prior to processing
    • Employee relations/communications
    • Maintain payroll filing systems
    • Manage ADP Workforce Now database
    • Create payroll reports as requested
    • Assists Human Resources Director as needed
    • Benefits
    • Monthly new hire enrollment for Health and Wellness Plans
    • Assist and track bi-annual ACA open enrollments
    • Confirm payroll deductions
    • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices
    • Track and reconcile 401k enrollments
    • Process 401k contribution payments
    • Process and track COBRA enrollments/payments
    • Create benefit and 401k reports
    • Calculate, track and communicate FMLA, FFCRA, Personal and other leave data
    • Create, audit and communicate SSL, PTO, Vacation balances to store managers
    • General Ledger and Accounting Assistance/Back Up
    • Timely processing of A/P to ensure vendor payment terms are met and all reasonable discounts are taken
    • Ensure invoices are recorded accurately
    • Ensure correct general ledger coding
    • Prepares analysis of accounts as needed
    • Maintain Accounts Payable filing systems
    • Post journal entries
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts

    • Minimum 5 years processing payroll

    • Process payroll for 500+ Employees

    • Multi-Location Experience

    • Experience with benefit Setup and administration

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Strong organizational and time management skills

    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

    • Knowledge of accounting systems in both manual and automated systems

    • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures

    • Experience in restaurant or retail environment preferred

    • Proactively identify and solve problems

    • Strong computer and technical skills, including use of the Microsoft office, Google Suite

    • Prior experience with creation and maintenance of payroll and benefit integration files

    • Strong verbal and written communications skills

    • Ability to interact directly with various levels of Management

    • Ability to work with a cross-functional team toward a common set of goals or initiatives

    • Associates degree in Business or Accounting preferred
