    Pizza Luce Management (PLM) is looking for a smart, organized Payroll Administrator. This position is a hands-on, fast-paced role and is responsible for managing the day to payroll functions for Pizza Luce from our management office in the North Loop of Minneapolis.  This position functions as a team member in the office along with the Office Coordinator and Bookkeeper, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.  The Payroll Administrator works closely with the Human Resources Director,  HR Generalist, General Managers and communicates with employees, vendors and guests of Pizza Luce.  Qualified candidates will have 5 plus years of payroll administration experience in a multi location environment with direct experience in the hospitality industry preferred.

    PLM is a tight knit team and the collaboration, support and grace we show one another is even greater during COVID-19. PLM recognizes that we are in this together to support each other and support all Pizza Luce locations. During this pandemic PLM has responded with a number of safety measures such as but not limited to social distancing, mask wearing and pre-screening measures. This position is partially in the office, with the option to work remotely 2 days a week.  The PLM team is working both at home and in the office during the pandemic.  We have a large office space that permanently consists of private offices and we adhere to strict COVID-19 protocols.

    Job Description

    The Payroll Administrator is responsible for managing the day to payroll functions for Pizza Luce and all individual locations.  This position will work directly with the Bookkeeper in processing payroll as well. This position functions as a team member in the office along with the Office Coordinator, Bookkeeper and reports directly to the Finance Manager.  The position works closely with the Human Resources Director,  HR Generalist, General Managers and communicates with employees, vendors and guests of Pizza Luce.

    Principal Accountabilities:

    Payroll

    • Collect and organize payroll data
    • Post payroll additions and changes
    • Daily tip reconciliation and payments
    • Ensure accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll
    • Create manual checks as needed
    • Post completed payroll entries to the General Ledger
    • Audit complete payroll entries prior to processing
    • Employee relations/communications
    • Maintain payroll filing systems
    • Manage ADP Workforce Now database
    • Create payroll reports as requested
    • Assists Human Resources Director as needed
    • Confirm payroll deductions
    • Track and reconcile 401k enrollments
    • Process 401k contribution payments
    • Create benefit and 401k reports
    • Create, audit and communicate SSL, PTO, Vacation balances to store managers

    General Ledger and Accounting Assistance/Back Up

    • Timely processing of A/P to ensure vendor payment terms are met and all reasonable discounts are taken
    • Ensure invoices are recorded accurately
    • Ensure correct general ledger coding
    • Prepares analysis of accounts as needed
    • Maintain Accounts Payable filing systems
    • Post journal entries
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3-5 years processing payroll
    • Process payroll for 500+ Employees
    • Multi-Location Experience
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
    • Knowledge of accounting systems in both manual and automated systems
    • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
    • Experience in restaurant or retail environment preferred
    • Proactively identify and solve problems
    • Strong computer and technical skills, including use of the Microsoft office, Google Suite
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to interact directly with various levels of Management
    • Ability to work with a cross-functional team toward a common set of goals or initiatives
    • Associates degree in Business or Accounting preferred
