    Job Description: Pizza Maker / Pizzaiolo

    Overview:

    We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pizza Maker/Pizzaiolo to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience working with dough, understands proper pizza preparation techniques, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves crafting high-quality pizzas with consistency, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and contributing to an excellent guest experience. A passion for great food and attention to detail are essential. Experience in fast paced pizzerias is mandatory.

    Key Responsibilities

    Prepare, stretch, and hand-toss pizza dough to the restaurant’s specifications.

    Assemble pizzas with accuracy, consistency, and attention to presentation.

    Operate pizza ovens, monitor cooking times/temperatures, and ensure proper bake quality.

    Follow established recipes, portion standards, and food safety guidelines.

    Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station and surrounding prep areas.

    Manage prep lists, rotate stock, label ingredients, and ensure freshness of all toppings.

    Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.

    Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.

    Side Tasks & Additional Duties

    Prepare fresh ingredients (e.g., slicing vegetables, portioning cheese, making sauce).

    Assist with dough production, including mixing, balling, proofing, and storage as needed.

    Clean and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and prep tools.

    Support other kitchen stations during busy periods as needed.

    Help with daily opening/closing tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.

    Receive and store deliveries, check inventory, and report shortages.

    Participate in menu changes, specials, or testing new recipes.

    Provide training or guidance for new team members as required
