Tool & Die Tech - Apprenticeship Program Duties/Responsibilities: In addition to Tech III Duties/Responsibilities: * Must be willing to take an Accuplacer Test via Ivy Tech * 2 quarter of school work prior to working in the department * Willing to obtain Joutneyman Certificate (Department of Labor) * Attend class and work production as needed Qualifications/Competencies: * Good mechanical ability * Welding experience (arc/mig) * Ability to use hand tools, grinders, and drills * Spot welding experience * High School diploma or equivalent * Posses good communication skills to develop strong team environment * Display high work standards to promote a safety, quality, and efficiency * Good attendance record is a must * Knowledge of tool room equipment (mills, lathe, set) * Make and understand sketches * Must ahve a good safety record * Write ups will be reviewed and could possibly remove you from consideration * Display high standards for schooling * Mathematics MUST be a strong point if knowledge
