Job Description
We are seeking a Lien Negotiator/Legal Assistant For Personal Injury Firm to become a part of our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviewing client files to verify all outstanding bill and lien amounts
- Request and obtain medical records
- Ability to use Excel spreadsheet correctly and efficiently
- Negotiate with medical providers to obtain reductions in lien amounts
- Facilitating the signing of settlement releases
- Translating for the attorney in meetings/calls with Spanish-speaking clients
- Corresponding with clients regarding the settlement of their case
- Scheduling meetings/conference calls for the attorneys
- Initiate claims with Medi-Cal & Medicare & verify final balances/lien amounts
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- Record and store client information
- Assist with general office tasks
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field preferred
- Familiarity with medical billing preferred
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Bilingual English & Spanish preferred
