Position: HRIS Manager
Reports to: Vice President of Human Resources
Department: Human Resources
Purpose: This role is the functional expert responsible for the effective design, implementation, communication, maintenance, compliance and reporting of employee data and ongoing management of the HCM System, Workday. Will ensure data integrity and accuracy for all transactions, procedures, report writing, and business processes within the system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain, monitor, and manage the technical and functional aspects of Workday, including all active modules and integration points with vendors or other internal systems.
Supervises and guides day-to-day operations of the HRIS team.
Ensuring data and system integrity, serve as the subject-matter-expert for all users and partners.
Partner with all stakeholders to review and prioritize system enhancement requests. Identify and clarify business requirements, create functional specifications and configure business processes.
Partner with the internal customers to translate business needs, understand requirements, and communicate system capabilities/limitations and best practices.
Troubleshoot issues using a technical expertise to propose creative system solutions to solve a variety of complex system problems for the business.
Proactively evaluate issues to identify opportunities or gaps and assist in the implementation of solutions to improve system performance.
Continually research, test, and stay up-to-date on Workday releases and system fixes.
Proactively develop and conduct training for HR partners and provide coaching to others in a specific area of expertise through knowledge sharing.
Communicate/create change plans for updates and releases to ensure user experience.
Qualifications:
At least 7-10 years of related work experience with advanced knowledge development, testing, configuration, and implementation in Workday, or other HCMs.
Bachelor's Degree in human resources, information technology, or another relevant field preferred.
At least two years of experience managing individual contributors.
Effectively collaborates and consults with internal customers to understand strategy and translate business requirements into Workday design/configuration solutions.
Proven success implementing projects and delivering results on time.
Strong analytical skills and highly detail-oriented.
Ability to operate with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
Excellent documentation skills and the ability to generate clear and concise release notes.
Strong critical thinking, ability to draw conclusions easily and situational decision making.
Ability to work effectively in both a team and independently in a dynamic environment.
Highly effective communication skills (written and verbal) to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives with the capability to play numerous project roles.
Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position will manage the HRIS Analyst and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the individual team members. Also serve as a subject-matter-expert for other employees at all levels across various departments.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, fax machines and phones.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, exempt position. Under the Regulations, Part 541, an exempt employee is one who is not entitled to the minimum wage or overtime pay protections of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This position may work outside of normal business hours to include evenings and weekends as needed.
Travel: Up to 10% travel is expected for this position.
