    Job Summary

    We are searching for a Fitness Trainer to join our team! As a member of our staff, you will get the opportunity to serve your community by enabling all people to enhance their lives through fitness in a judgement free environment. You will be responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

    Hours

    Monday thru Friday, with varying shifts by location.

    Some of your responsibilities will include:

    Planet Fitness PE@PF program:

    Run PE@PF program and creating schedule for members.

    Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to properly and safely use the equipment.

    Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.

    Continually evolving your knowledge and exercises to keep workouts, cutting edge, fun and exciting for members.

    Upholding integrity and security with member’s confidential workouts and medical forms.

    Customer Service/Front Desk Activities:

    Greet members and guests, providing exceptional customer service and do your best to make members feel comfortable and welcomed!

    Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

    Run daily reports on class attendance.

    Upholding rules and policies in the facility.

    Ability to assess and assist in emergency medical situations.

    Member Accounts:

    Check members into classes using Datatrak systems.

    Uphold integrity and security with member documents and sensitive information at all times.

    Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

    Regular facility cleaning and upkeep such as mopping up spills under equipment, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.

    Regular cleaning of all exercise equipment.

    Regular cleaning of classroom areas.

    Regular organization of pe@pf file systems.

    Regular restroom and wet area cleaning and stocking.

    Qualifications:

    6-12 months of Customer Service experience is preferred.

    High school diploma/GED equivalent recommended

    Must be 18 years of age or older.

    Nationally Certified Training Certificate recommended.

    Basic computer proficiency with an eye for accuracy.

    Punctuality and reliability is a must.

    Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member’s expectations.

    Physical Demands/Requirements:

    Continual standing and walking during shift.

    Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.

    Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

    Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.

    Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift.

    Ability to demonstrate and/or complete exercises repetitively on an as needs basis.

    Will encounter toxic chemicals during shift including but not limited to:

    Pinesol

    Bleach

    Windex (window cleaner)

    Latex

    Degreaser

    Enviro Care Sanitizer

    Caustic Acid
