Canada is one of Taymax’s largest growth markets with 25 locations currently open in Ontario, and significant rights to grow throughout Ontario and the Maritime provinces over the next few years.

Partnering with Taymax’s President, International and Vice President, Marketing, the Manager of Regional Marketing and Community Investment will boost club revenues by adding a heightened level of marketing support focused at the individual club and community level.

What you will focus on:

Become a regional brand champion, ensuring brand alignment, optimization, and consistency across the region and clubs

Development of an annual local marketing strategy for the region, that will be updated on a monthly basis, in conjunction with operations management

Understand the unique dynamics of each club’s “trade area” and communicate appropriate activities

Identify, coordinate, and track marketing efforts at the club level designed to heighten Planet Fitness’s awareness and involvement within each community around each club

School/community support

Charitable engagement

Local sports sponsorships

Health fairs

Partnerships with area businesses

Local media opportunities, such as radio, newspapers and community digital sites

Initiatives would consist of programs like:

Ensure consistent content and “look and feel” for in-club signage/marketing and monitor compliance

Analyze market conditions, consumer research, the competitive environment, and local economic conditions

Build and maintain an up-to-date content database for your regional portfolio measuring success, to ensure that you are recommending pro-active and strategic plans and initiatives to the sales and operations teams that have proven results

Evaluate the effectiveness of local club marketing projects and ongoing programs

Play key role in setting up new club presales

Manage hubs containing marketing materials to be used at events across the provinces

Accept other tasks and new requests as required to add value to job and contribute to achieving organizational goals

What we are looking for:

3+ years’ experience in similar capacity

Self-directed and highly motivated with strong ability to see projects through from beginning to end

Creative thinker

Fast learner and collaborative team member

Exceptional attention to detail

Strong interpersonal, grammatical, verbal and written communication skills

Strong planning and priority setting skills

Effective analytical abilities, and organizational abilities; including problem solving skills and ability to work well in ambiguous environments

Skilled with computer software applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT)

Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle for frequent travel within the region
