    What You'll Be Doing

    The Staff Accountant will be proficient in performing general ledger entries, maintaining financial statements, and preparing and analyzing budgets, focusing on areas of accounts receivable, prepaids and debt. The Staff Accountant will maintain the general ledger accounts by applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records.

    · You will assist the Assistant Controller with the day-to-day, monthly, quarterly and year-end operations of the accounting and finance departments and budget and review analysis.

    · You will perform general accounts analysis and balance sheet reconciliations, including accounts receivable, prepaids and debt.

    · You will create and monitor corporate sales invoicing and applying payments to invoices.

    · You will maintain accurate schedules related to debt financings, OID accretion and interest accrual.

    · You will maintain prepaid schedules and prepare amortization entries.

    · You will assist in the fixed asset related journal entries and CIP research.

    · You will assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements, budget performance, and financial reporting.

    · You will assist with year-end audits.

    · You will assist in identifying errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency.· You will provide technical support and review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.

    · You will assist in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

    · Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other related discipline.

    · 1+ years of general ledger and staff accountant responsibilities.

    · Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

    · Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and hands-on detail-oriented tasks.

    · Able to demonstrate attention to detail and good record keeping.

    · Knowledge and ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs.

    · Strong implementation and organizational skills associated with planning, marketing, and media relations.

    · Ability to make timely, effective decisions with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

    · Must have strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills to effectively deliver and influence others.
