What You'll Be Doing

The Facilities Director is responsible for the overall facility and maintenance philosophy, strategy, program development, team guidance and operational success of their function. The FD has responsibility for attraction and retention of top talent, creating an environment that fosters club facilities excellence and one that improves organizational performance and stakeholder value. You will lead through the lens of people, core values, and mission first. Our formula is simple: happy team happy members = happy Planet.

You are leading a team to strive for “opening day” club look, no matter how new or old the club. There’s no budget for broke, if it’s broke, we fix it.

You will inspire approximately 6-9­­­ direct reports. They will join you in the quest to providing 1% service to build Raving Fans and operational excellence.

Create and support growth mindset, a continuous learning culture.

Develop asset management program to include performance assessment and multi-year capital planning.

Partner with our fitness equipment vendors to develop an equipment maintenance and repair approach with a blend of internal and external providers.

Partner with field facilities team to develop a facility maintenance approach supported by field facilities leaders, club operation leaders, and field network of local and national facility vendors.

Find tools that simplify work for our teammates, which might include sourcing and implementing software solutions.

Optimize and lead field maintenance teams to exceed expectations.

Direct and supervise the management of parts inventory.

Creates a culture where health and safety standards are upheld and exceeded.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

5 years of passion and experience in a leadership role serving within a geographically-dispersed, fitness, restaurant, or retail multi-unit business.

Bachelor's degree construction, facilities or related discipline. 

Demonstrated experience driving organizational change initiatives, implementing programs, developing maintenance plans, and influencing business leaders. 

Ability to work in changing environments, see through complexity and strategically promote an inclusive, diverse workforce. 

Excellent influencing skills with a track record of providing HR consultation at all levels of the organization and extreme flexibility to be proactive in a fast paced, ever changing environment.

Willing to travel as needed.

Competence in making timely, effective decisions with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels.

Comfortable in a fast paced, high growth culture.
